Frederick Hart: A Singular and Major Force The film contains a never-before-seen interview of American master sculptor Frederick Hart (1943-1999) from 1993, and examines his career, the controversies surrounding his figurative work, and his legacy and influence on the next generation of artists. Includes commentary by: Tom Wolfe, noted author; James Cooper, director of the Newington-Cropsey Cultural Studies Center and Editor of American Arts Quarterly; and Dana Gioia, former chair of the National Endowment for the Arts and current director of the Aspen Institute, among others. |

The Awakening Ballet The Awakening Ballet is a dance performance that took place in 2002 for the opening of The Awakening Museum, a monumental work of art located in Santa Fe New Mexico. Choreographed by Christopher Fleming, and based on the life and work of the artist Jean-Claude Gaugy. This film presents the ballet—which was only performed once—in its entirety. Included are interviews with Christopher Fleming, choreographer, and artist Jean-Claude Gaugy. |
